From Mick Webster of HVGC:
"To the Bathurst Gliding Club.
Last Saturday 05/01/2013 a HVGC club owned Jantar 2 delivered the WDWIT to the Bathurst Soaring Club.
The objective of this trophy is to encourage cross country activity and friendly rivalry between clubs.
The basic rules are:
1. You must launch from your home club.
2. Land at another club and deliver the trophy.
3. Make every effort to re-light fly back to your home club.
4. If successful heap friendly banter on the recipient club until such time as they get rid of it.
See the bottom of the trophy for more detail.
I trust this trophy is being displayed in a prominent position on your bar where the shame of having it rankles on your members conscience until someone whisks it away to another club.
Of coarse it is relatively easy for the Hunter Valley Club to deliver this trophy to any number of clubs as we regularly use Bathurst, Lake Keepit, Gulgong and Narromine as turn points.I find it very strange that these clubs never seem to visit us as a turn point? :-)
Anyway the trophy is your to keep in shame or to return to the HVGC or pass on to other clubs as is your want.
Should anyone plan to visit Warkworth then please visit our web site (www.hvgc.com.au) where under the visitors section you will find a flight planner giving you a list of safe landing places to help you navigate a safe route in and out of the Hunter Valley."
